Chris Rice vs John Doyle – MMA Bout

fightcard3

Our very own MMA man Chris Rice, is taking on the American John Doyle this evening in the West Point Arena, in Exeter.

In the organisers own words:

Seasoned MMA veteran John Doyle (10-10-0) steps into the cage looking to end his losing streak, facing UK’s very own Chris Rice (15-7-0). Doyle, a 33 year old native of Philadelphia, USA is coming off three submission losses and a majority decision loss, where as Rice is enjoying a winning streak with wins over Rolandas Sicakukas at Ultimate Gladiators (heel hook) and an arm bar win over Aurelijus Kerpe at AM – Night of Champions. With both fighters hungry for victory this looks on paper one of the most anticipated fights of the night.

Best of luck to Chris – hope he can do as well as the student he teaches in his own MMA Academy, Sprawl n Brawl !

Rice on ice

Chris’s championship fight has been set back to a later date after running into difficulties with opponents

Apparently Chris was prepared to fight former cage rage champ Paul Cahoon, however Chris and management want the fight to take place in Birmingham rather than Liverpool. Chris had suffered a very minor injury after his last victory in Nottingham.

Chris’ management have acknowledged that he will fight for European title this year.
